Been A Long Time

Wow - It's been a long time since we have posted an entry on here. I feel really guilty for that. There were many times that I did try to start it, but then got pulled away. In one of my last posts on here, I had mentioned that we were looking to add another husky to our family. On January 15, 2011 - I saw a post on Facebook for 3 month old puppy that had to be rehomed because the puppy had sharp claws and teeth and the own wanted it GONE. Another lady had stepped in and took the puppy and posted the ad to find a home for her. Here are pictures of the puppy, Aly, that she posted.

We made plans to meet at a Petsmart about half an hour away. The minute my niece and I walked in there....all we could hear was this tiny husky making the loudest racket. And....the story goes....she ended up coming home with us!

That is our happy news. Now for the sad news.

On May 18, 2012 we had to say good-bye to Bailey, She lived to be 16 years old and we were grateful for every minute we got to share in her 14 years with us. It was so hard for us to say goodbye, but when she wasn't able to stand up on her own that day, we knew it was time. And, we could tell in her eyes that it was time to say our goodbyes. We miss you so much, Bailey!

Aly did not stay alone long. My niece had bought a husky puppy with her 'then' boyfriend and kept it at his house. Well...guess what happened?? They broke up in July and her puppy, Mya, came to live with us. Don't let her cuteness fool you...she's a little stinker!

So, there you have it. A lot has happened in these past years. Both 'puppies' are grown up with tons of stories and adventures to be told. I will look back in their picture files and share some stories from over the years....as well as new ones. Please make sure to 'follow' us to keep updated.

Welcome back! We are sorry to hear about Bailey. 16 is quite an accomplishment though, but I'm sure it doesn't make it any easier. Welcome to the new pups. We look forward to getting to know them.
